Setup guide
1. Connect
Install Batch Projects from the HubSpot Marketplace, or connect here. You need to be a HubSpot super admin, or have App Marketplace access. Your account needs the Projects object.
2. Automatic setup
Right after you connect, Batch Projects:
- creates a Batch Projects property group with “Source line item” on Projects and “Batch Projects status” on Deals;
- selects any deal stage named like “Initiate Project”, “Kick off project” or “Start project” as the trigger;
- selects your first Project pipeline and its first stage for new Projects;
- turns automatic Project creation on.
3. Review settings
In HubSpot, go to Marketplace → Connected apps → Batch Projects → Settings.
- General: the trigger stage(s), the Project pipeline and starting stage, and the Project name pattern. You can also create one Project per unit of quantity.
- Field mapping: which Deal and line item fields to copy onto each Project, and whether to associate each Project to the Deal's companies and contacts.
- Activity: preview any Deal before going live, and see recent runs.
4. Use it
Add one line item per Project to a Deal, then move the Deal to your trigger stage. Projects appear on the Deal within a minute, and the Deal's “Batch Projects status” shows the result.
Moving the Deal to the trigger stage again only creates Projects for line items you've added since. Existing Projects are never duplicated.
Disconnecting
Uninstall from Connected apps, or use Settings → Advanced → Disconnect. We delete your settings and tokens. Projects that were already created stay in HubSpot.
